WhAt C@uSes HicCups?

   A simple question that what causes hiccups? i know the physical stand point that, '' hiccups are caused by the uncontrollable spasms of diaphragm, each spasm causes quick in take of breath, which makes a hiccups''  The phrenic nerve, which controls the diaphragm is directly responsible for these spasms of the diaphragm....TADA  AA question answered!! ... NOOO it didn't thats only half of the answer. You never get to the part that what causes it... we also know that some times very hot food, spicy food, very cold food, or the intake of food rapidly  causes hiccups but why????

    HMMM... when ever we think of sunlight  a warm feeling comes into our minds. But, on the other hand there is a property of sunlight that it is composed of 7 different colours. I have a question here....... what causes these different colours. Is it different atoms of elements? because the only source for the colour around us is the elements. I know know that the different colours of light has different wavelengths but what is this light composed of ?

What Is ENERGY?

     I am first year high school student, i have studied energy, its different types, its transformation, its uses but still my mind doesn't get it ..... WHAT IS ENERGY? like what is it? i want to see it, is it an atom ....oh come on every thing is made up of atoms. Or is it an excited electron? I want to see energy in its original form. We say energy is the ability to do work , but what kind of ability? I don't understand this ability. This so-called ability is in   chemical, in sunlight, and even in our own bodies....... you lost me here. Okay even if you say that there are a few things around us which we cannot see, but still i want a reasonable answer.
    I asked the same very question from a chemistry and physics teacher, but i didn't got a really convincing answer...... so does any one out there know the answer to my question...... WHAT IS ENERGY?
