My DADA....

Grand fathers are unique little boys.......i also had a unique little friend. A friend who understood my condition and comforted me so much that i became really attached to him.The name of my unique friends is Shams-ud-din, he did honours in islamiat from Islamia college. He was the secretary of provincial boys scout association in the province.
I shared many precious moment with my dada . From the time when  i was a still a child my dada was really close to me. When i didn't do the homework and then due to the tension i wake up early in the morning, and cry, he calmed me down and helped me with my work......and still now i wake up early in the morning and do my homework at that time, but the only difference is that my dada is not with me. He used to sit  in the sun and had a watch up eye on us. He used to buy us ice-creams. Maybe he understood that my elder brother and sister were getting enough attention and i was lagged behind thats why he eased me up. When i didn't know the supplication to say in my prayers, he used to do the imamat for me even though he used to say the prayer on the chair..... today, what ever i am close to my religion thats due to my dada. I had a heart-to-heart relation with my dada, which cannot be explained in just simple words.
He left me to face the life head-on on 12 march 2000 at the age of 64....even the words 'plz come back' and 'i miss you' can't make his soul come back, can't turn the sands of times. But, i can only pray for him, for his hereafter, and also cry at times ....may he rests in peace, may Allah bless his soul (aameen)
